KINGS OF ARMENIA. Tigranes II ‘the Great’, 95-56 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 17 mm, 5.62 g, 12 h), Tigranokerta, circa 80-68, circa 80-68. Draped bust of Tigranes II to right, wearing five-pointed tiara decorated with a star between two eagles and tied with a diadem. Rev. [BAΣ]ΙΛ[EΩΣ] - BAΣΙΛEΩN / TIΓPANO[Y] Herakles standing facing, head to left, leaning right hand on club and holding lion's skin draped over his left arm. Kovacs 78. The obverse struck somewhat off center, and light earthen deposits on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
